Exterior

The DENT HOUSE, its COTTAGE, FARM HOUSE, and GUEST BARNS, are located at the end of a paved county road, behind a US Forest Service Locked gate, within the private and historically significant 560-acre Matilija Canyon Ranch & Wildlife Refuge. Surrounded by three million acres of the Los Padres National Forest, it is set against the magnificent transverse Santa Inez Mountains just outside Ojai, California. There are gardens and orchards, oaks and sycamores, waterfalls and ferndells, creeks, and ponds, in sun and shade.
